Buttermilk cookies and gravy sausage

*ingredients:

Β°8 milk biscuits

Β°1 pound pork sausage

Β°2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour

Β°2 1/2 cups half and half

Β°1 tablespoon of butter

Β°1/8 teaspoon of dried thyme

Β°1/8 teaspoon dried crushed rosemary

Β°1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Β°Freshly ground black pepper to taste

*Directions:

Brown the sausage in a large pot. Use a paper towel to remove most of the fat from the pan.

– Add flour, butter and half and half. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, for several minutes, until thickened.

– Add thyme, rosemary, red pepper flakes and black pepper.

Serve it over warm cookies.
