Many runners like to take a dose of apple cider vinegar before a run because it’s touted as a muscle cramp preventative and inflammation fighter. Although these benefits have not been proven by science, there is some evidence that apple cider vinegar helps prevent blood sugar spikes. And studies have shown that cinnamon helps fight inflammation, making it a great pre- or post-run drink.
