Sun Shake

Total time: 5 minutes Makes: 1 serving

➜ Certain foods act as SPF in different ways: green tea contains antioxidant catechins, which have been shown to improve DNA repair and reduce the risk of skin cancer, while carrots and mangoes contain beta-carotene and vitamin C, which can prevent UV-induced damage. Chia seeds contain omega-3s which help keep skin hydrated and prevent dryness from sun exposure. This shake combines all of these ingredients into one delicious pre-beach treat. Sip before hitting the sun, but you’ll still want to slather on SPF and wear a wide-brimmed hat.

  • 1 cup frozen mango cubes
