Ingredients
1 pound fresh or frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces fettuccine noodles, uncooked
2 ½ teaspoons minced fresh garlic
2 tablespoons butter, unsalted
½ cup of milk
2 cups of chicken broth
1 to 1 ½ cups heavy whipped cream
1 cup grated parmesan
A small pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley for garnish
Instructions
Over medium heat, pour the olive oil into the pan
Add the prawns until cooked, it doesn’t take long. Salt and pepper to taste
Put the cooked shrimp in a bowl and set aside
Add butter and minced garlic to the same pan, sauté for 20 seconds
Add chicken broth and milk, whisk to combine
Add the fettuccine noodles to the pan, cover and cook until al dente
Remove lid, reduce heat to medium
Gently add the heavy whipped cream
Continue cooking until the sauce begins to thicken.
Add Parmesan, nutmeg (if chosen), salt and pepper
Return the shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat with the sauce. Toss the fettuccine noodles in the skillet.
Garnish with parsley
