Famous Strawberry Pie


1 Pie Crust, premade or fresh made

1 ¼ cup sugar

3 tbsp cornstarch

1 ¼ cup water

3 tbsp strawberry jelly

2 cups sliced fresh strawberries


Preheat the oven to temp directed on pie crust

Bake the pie as directed

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a minimum of at least 30 minutes.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, cornstarch and water

Whisk together and bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer

Continue to simmer until the sauce thickens, this could take 5 minutes roughly

Whisk in the Strawberry jelly completely and set to the side to cool

When the pie crust is cool, add the sliced strawberries to the crust.

Pour the glaze over the strawberries

Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours until the pie is set

Garnish with dollops of whipped topping and a strawberry slice on each dollop
