Classic Southern Butter Cake Recipe

What You Need:

150 milliliters of granulated sugar

Three enormous eggs

2 sticks equals 1 cup unflavored butter, melted

1/8 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring

2 and a half cups unbleached flour

1/3 cup baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup full-fat milk

Instructions

Get the Oven Ready: Preheat the oven to 350°F, or 175°C. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan or two 8-inch round pans to get them ready for baking.

Using a large mixing mixer, whip the granulated sugar and softened butter until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to the butter mixture. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.

To have the dry ingredients ready, mix the salt, baking powder, and all-purpose flour in a separate bowl. Thoroughly combine.

Blend All Ingredients: Alternate adding the whole milk to the wet mixture as you gradually incorporate the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients one by one and stir until just mixed.

Pour and Bake: Evenly distribute the batter into the pans you’ve prepared. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. To test if the cake is done, stick a toothpick into the middle and remove it clean.

Let the cake sit for ten minutes in the pan before moving it to a wire rack to finish cooling. Once cooled, serve.

Savor it.
